Come join us for the Launch of Alex Pearce’s New Monthly Residency at New York’s premiere house music venue Cielo. After a string of wild Tuesday Night parties in the spring and summer Rob Fernandez, Benny Soto, Alex and manager Paul take the party monthly for the fall. Alex has become infamous for his finely tuned and programmed sets at Cielo and the monthly will continue to feature his signature sound of tech House and electro.
There’s a small chance you’ve never heard of NYC based DJ/Producer Alex Pearce. He’s been a buddy of mine for more than a handful of years and watching both his technical skill and popularity rise through those years has been a real pleasure. 2008 has been a been a banner year for him, with the launch of his record label, Quarterlife Records, several track and remix releases and a crazy successful string of Tuesday parties at Cielo.
I sat down with Alex to get his thoughts on where he’s going, what he’s doing and how it feels to go from gurning it up alongside me at Twilo seven years ago to wrecking shit around the city as a headlining DJ.

New York house DJ Alex Pearce is boldly taking the monthly residency where it’s never gone before: To different venues. Initially started in May, RAW features Pearce’s patented blend of rough-edged electro- and tech-house, and is held at a different underground, music-first spot each month. The venues have ranged from urban retreat Water Taxi Beach (May), to internationally renowned house club Cielo (July), to a boat with the Pacha NYC family (August). Then a return to the Water Taxi Beach for the closing season (September) and Sullivan Room NYC (October)
Pearce’s star is increasingly on the rise, with a series of stints on the international circuit, high profile NY shows and the launch of his own Quarterlife Records imprint this year.
